.::What Is Digital Scrapbooking?::.
Digital Scrapbooking is where you can create an entire scrapbook page (layout, photos and embellishments) on the computer either using a layout program or an image editing program. It is becoming more and more popular and is a lot of fun.
Digital graphics are different than web graphics though. Yes, you can print out web images and some are very cute and some even print somewhat nice, but they are not drawn in the same quality that digital graphics are. Digital art is drawn in 300 dpi (dots per inch) which is the general standard in the industry, and come out much nicer and more vibrant. Web graphics are generally created in 72 or 100 dpi.
There are many benefits to digital scrapbooking but in my opinion, the main two are:
LESS EXPENSIVE: It is much less expensive to digital scrapbook. Whatever products you buy or create yourself, they are on your computer and can be used over and over again.
EASE: I think it is much easier in some ways, than traditional scrapbooking. You don't have to take hours to get all your supplies out, set them up on your kitchen table only to have to tear it all down again in a little while so your family can eat dinner there *S*. All of your supplies are on your computer. You can start working on a page and then hit save. Come back to it again when it is convenient and finish it then.
